Thanks for the clue JM, but it doesn't add any new keywords to those I already unsuccessfully used.

Thanks for the clue JM, but it doesn't add any new keywords to those I already unsuccessfully used. OK JL here is another clue for you. Retired more than 50 years ago it still holds record for the fasted crossing of the pool.

I had never heard of this thing before. Thank you JM. When this is over I'll be happy to know what keywords worked, or did you have to have pre-puzzle knowledge?

Weeeelllll, I don't want to be nitpicking here, you know me Krenek, I'm not that kind of person , but technically that wasn't a clue to the clue, it was a second clue to the puzzle. A clue to the clue has to be just that, a clue to a clue that is obscure and not helpful because it is obscure. If the clue is easy to understand (but still not helpful) like in this case, you don't need a clue to it. You just need another separate clue. For example, in this puzzle, I would have needed a clue to the clue if JM's clue had been, say, a photo of a camel in the desert with a flying saucer in the sky and Mickey Mouse playing tennis with Donald Duck in a corner. THEN I would have needed a clue to the clue.
