Just have read in the news - remains of a man who has been lost 22 years ago now found by a GMaps spotting.

In 1997 left for an evening drive, but never has returned. Now his car was spotted by someone in one of the pools of Moon Bay Circle, Wellington, FL.

Placemark for the car under water set to best-view (basic) imagery date. For the very best imagery of the car you have to turn TimeSlider OFF and switch 3D Buildings layer ON!

Amazing, not to mention sad. I did a search, remembering one involving an old Chevy somewhere in the south (I think), but I found out that it happens way more often than I imagined. Just a few from recent years...

The one missing longest in the list above was 40 years. I never did find the 1952 Chevy.
