Beautiful Carved Hand - Answer

This beautiful hand has been haunting me for several weeks. It is widely available as a free image and also in other web pages. In spite of my best efforts I have failed to find its location. I don't even know whether it is a standalone sculpture or part of a larger sculpture. May be the F&G experts will help me find it.

I found it (more or less) and tried twice to message you with details, but for some reason I don’t see any sign the message was sent (it doesn’t show up in my Messages list).

Edit: Oops, I should have switched to Outbox to see the messages.

I talked to my Chinese colleague today about "The Hand". She thinks that it is a "Hand from Buddha", but not from India or China. She said that the flower on the hand is a "lotos flower". For her it is very irritating that there are women in the sculpture, because they play a minimum role in Budhissem. Her thinking is that the sculpture is neither Indian nor Chinese, but maybe from Thailand or something around. She thinks that the flower as symbol is specific in this area. The hand means "protection" because it's the right one in this specific position.

Did you notice the plate with the symbol in the background? It's a (or may be a) Dharmachakra with a snake or a dragon in the centre. Specific for....I don't know

But maybe all this suggestions will help to find the right place

I have also seen the original reply from Bridge with the coordinates, so I have to skip this too.

But I really like to know how he found it!
