Missing or incorrect place names, roads etc
Every now and then you may encounter an error in the database, a mis-named town, or image error. Given Google Earth's extensive and ever growing database, errors such as these are to be expected.
This type of error should be reported through Google Maps: Report data or content errors on Google Maps.
Corrections to Google Maps will also be made in Google Earth web and mobile. Google Earth Pro is more difficult to correct, changes may be made there, but will take longer. If you encounter any problems making corrections through Google Maps, or if your edit is rejected, you can ask for help in the Google Maps help community.
Imagery
The average age of the imagery is one to three years. Sometimes there is something more recent in the "historical" imagery, see View a map over time. It is possible to suggest a "refresh" of the imagery (see the FAQ), but this is only a suggestion, it doesn't mean Google will necessarily act on it.
Errors in the layers
If you find an error in the layers in Google Earth Pro, there may be an option in the pop up balloon to access the source and report it. If it is an error in the Wikipedia layer you may be able to edit the page and correct it yourself. Note that changes can no longer be made to the old Google Earth Community posts (the blue "i"s).

Street view
- Use Street View in Google Maps - Report a Street View issue - think carefully before requesting blurring, once an image has been blurred, it is not possible to unblur it, Google does not keep the unblurred images. In Google Earth Pro the "Report a problem" link is at the bottom left of the street view image.
- What is Street View? - note that you cannot request new imagery.
- Where we're headed - see where Google is currently driving. It may take several months from when the images are taken until they are published.
