Never mind the question, BP, it took me a couple of minutes to figure out your answer! Having the historical imagery set for 2007 didn't help matters. Spot on, but you still haven't found the joker!

I know that guy but cant find any street view or 360 of the map. I have now idea who the person is and I also cannot get a blue dot or orange dot. The whole region is out of bound for GSV and one can only see it from the peripheral roads. Here is the 3D view of the building

You've all done very well in identifying the painting of Sicily, which hangs in the Vatican Museum.
Did you know that if you wandered continually through the Vatican Museum and spent one minute gazing at each object, it would take you twelve years to get round? And the true face of the mystery man without his mask and cunning disguise is: roll of drums....... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . !
well "joker" was a bit of a giveaway, wasn't it?

Like others I cannot find a blue or orange dot; I have found one inside view of the Map Room, but no Sicily, so here is my Google Maps view of the Map Room .....

Hi CJM, To see the blue dots, you need to drag the pegman over the place of interest, wait for it to load a bit, then they will appear. A good tip is to use Google Maps in 'Map' mode - rather than earth and you will see them much more clearly. You can do it with Google Earth, but it's a bit of a hit and miss affair. If you zoom out on GE, you can see them.
Blue dots are much easier to see on 'Map' mode. Why is Pac-Man attacking Rome?!

If you zoom out on GE, you can see them. ............. Thanks Groovy, I had already tried various formats - Satellite View, Maps, Classic Maps style, New Maps Style and GE. I had even tried all the formats in different browsers (Opera Next, Chrome and IE) but no luck. Based on your suggestion I tried again. I finally succeeded in getting the blue dots in GE. I grabbed and hovered the pegman with one hand and using +/- keys I changed the zoom level. Finally at about 700 metres eye altitude I got blue spheres. However when I dropped pegman over any of these blue dots, the photo-sphere didn't open but GE went into ground level mode. I tried many times but no show. I have finally given up on this.

Yes, that happens with GE because it's so zoomed out I suppose? Even though pegman is directly on it! That's why it's easier with Google Maps, because you can still see the dots if you are zoomed right in. As soon as you place pegman over a dot, a small picture below him starts to load and you can see you are inside. Just let go and he drops inside. Just give it a try somewhere else when you have the time.

Thanks to tip from Groovy I am now getting blue dots in New Maps format. Though I could access the Map Gallery but still cannot get to Sicily. My suggestion for future puzzles - lets avoid blue/orange dots.
