Nice find, benja9914. It's the right length for small planes. I see a small village on the island and there are guest cottages, according to Wikipedia, so you can vacation there. Check out another "airport island," Johnston Atoll, which was a US air base during WWII and used for assorted military purposes after that. It's been demolished and left to birds and the occasional research team. Some of the many placemarks there will give more information.
