The Folland Fo. 141 Gnat is a single-engine fighter and training aircraft manufactured by the British manufacturer Folland Aircraft Limited. In 1955, the British Air Force initially ordered 6 aircraft for flight testing. However, the Gnat did not meet all expectations in testing and fell short of the competing model Hawker Hunter. Nevertheless, series production took place because orders had been received from foreign air forces. Since it has proven itself in other countries, the RAF also orders further Gnat, but in a two-seat version as a trainer for training. 449 machines were built, 175 of which were licensed in India as "Ajeet", and were in use until 1978. Top speed 1024 km/h

Walter_V_R: I second that. It is annoying to have this Shoutbox floating around in the middle of the text you want to read.
