krenek you asked a question in your spoiler, I answer it in this spoiler: {Spoiler}No, I didn't try to search for 5 stars cat. In fact, I didn't try to search for 5 stars anything (hotel, building, clothesshop, car, door, window, balcony, facade, street) and cat is the last thing I would've searched for in a SV image anyway, unless it was a statue or a mural... But mainly I don't start looking for things when I don't know what I'm looking for. Waste of time for me, I've learned. So I patiently waited for a clue.😊 So thanks for the clue. Congrats to the players who saw this op image and thought "oh course this is about the cat". We're definitely not thinking the same way at all. No wonder you always solve one another's puzzles ! 😄 And if you just searched five stars everything, then congrats even more. 😎
Btw, "five stars cat" only returns results about the series of books for children called "André the five stars cat" about a cat living in Paris. Ironically I had to translate the search in French to find this cat who's not in France...

Btw, "five stars cat" only returns results about the series of books for children called "André the five stars cat" about a cat living in Paris. we all know that google returns different results according to many criteria (your browser, your default language, your country, time of the day, color of your socks, what you ate on friday, if you're a smoker or not, if you prefer bing, etc.) but that's what i get: . . . ..

krenek I don't understand why the cat has five stars though. Some people gave him less than that, even one star. Including me now. I got my revenge, yeah ! 😄

I always sympathise with your rants because I also get angry and frustrated when I can't find something that the others find in a matter of minutes. BUT. Why didn't you give a chance to a simple search like "black cat" "google street view" - because this seems to me quite obvious and that is how I found it. I did not even bother about the five stars.

Thanks but... "quite obvious"? Really? You see a cat in a GOOGLE STREET VIEW and you assume that it's a famous cat that lives there ? As I said, we don't have the same way of thinking. It's as if in my kiwi roundabout puzzle you saw a bit of cloud and googled "cloud street view" and found it. There are cats in SV everywhere! Well not everywhere, but in some places. I don't assume there's press about them, and ratings too! The five stars I don't necessarily associate with google ratings, and if I did, not with a cat. There's plenty of reasons not to try that search (which I just did btw, and I still can't see the right cat! 😄). I would have tried "parked car" before "cat". It's just a cat! That's why I waited, wondering what this one was about. And I even thought all the answers showing the cat were just what we usually do when we post something non RISable but close to the main subject of the puzzle. Well, never mind. At least now I know what this is about. 😎

Then you're really unlucky. I get two hints in the first 20: You know what, now the cat is the second result! 😄 But my point was, I would never have searched that, for the reasons already explained. 🙂

Don't worry, JL. I also didn't know the story. I searched for the building and selected a shot from the cat for my answer by coincidence. Then I tried to find something more about the name behind the question mark. I found the cat later.

Thank you for your input, Walter, but now I have to ask --- how on earth did you find the building ? I RISed it like we probably all did and no results as I expected. It's a pretty random building.

I spent lot of time in RIS of the building in Yandex, Google and Bing and was very frustrated when these searches yielded nothing. Walter_V_R's cat didn't ring any bell but when hhgygy also posted the cat then there was a big flash in my grey cells and googling for <Cat Google Street View> led me to the answer.

Not surprisingly, that search doesn't return the right cat for me. I checked every image one by one, at least the first fifty. Amazing. But kudos for thinking the cat was it.

Well NOW I know. 🙄 It's the kind of thing that seems "obvious" only when you already know it, or have been told. For all I knew then, the cat could be the red herring. Which is more likely to be random in a SV, a sign on a building or a cat ? I've already explained it all above anyway, I don't need to do it again. 😊
