On March 27, 1945 the last V2 to strike England was launched from the Hague. (After this launch the rocket troops were pushed back and were out the range of England). This missile impacted the back garden of 88 Kynaston Road and killed housewife Ivy Millichip standing in her kitchen. 23 were injured. Ivy was the last civilian in England to be killed by enemy action.
