The goal is to create a compendium of ALL the airlines from A to Z using both Google Streetview (SV) and Photo Sphere (PS) (ground level views) and Google Earth (top down views). Each month, we go through a different letter of the alphabet (A, B, C, ... G...Z) and everyone will share links (SV/PS) and/or google earth kml files (and a pic thereof) of an airplane showing the livery of an airline whose name starts with the letter of that month (example: A = American Airlines, C = Copa Airlines, I = Icelandair), etc. The plane must be on the ground (parked or taxiing). You may need to go into historical imagery to find defunct airlines! Ideally just one image/file per airline, unless you're posting a different livery (old livery, retro livery, special livery) of that airline. This thread is an index of each monthly thread.

Google Earth has probably been "cleaned up" again. Historical layers with good resolution have disappeared and so many finds are no longer reproducible. A striking example is Paris Orly Airport. Only historical layers with poor resolution are left here. Several good layers in the time slider are gone! (And as a result, several airline finds are worthless)

Yea I was wondering about this!! I honestly wouldn't mind (and understand needing to save space) their cleaning up and removing low resolution historical data, but the way they've cleaned up is really frustrating, since they've removed a lot of good resolution imagery and kept a a whole bunch of low resolution imagery. With how often they remove Google Street View imagery (and then randomly bringing it back in the future), I'm honestly not surprised though.

Wow I'm going through my special liveries collection -> they deleted so much high resolution imagery holy cow. It's really really bad -> probably going to be like 100+ lost finds in this collection alone. Lost all 11 of the special livery finds at Charles de Gaulle airport!

But the answer (Jan 02 2022) from Google Earth Help does not shed any light on the matter. Rather, it means gloom for the future for historical views in GE.
