I didn't knew about it, but a pilot friend just visited the airport and posted the name in Fb, so I took a look and found some old friends.

Answer: The configuration of the airport vaguely resembles the {Answer} ... doghouse of Snoopy, the Ace of WWII and arch-enemy of the RedBaron This airport is not in Europe but near the hometown of the creator of Peanuts and renamed in his honor, the logo of the airport is Ace Charles M Schulz-Sonoma County Airport-STS. sonomacountyairport.org/38°30'35.98" N 122°48'10.28" W

great puzzle! the OP image filename is RedBaron.png: that was the first hint of course ...but i first searched some airfield linked to von Richthofen over here, i am THE specialist of THAT topic, even made numerous puzzles about it what i meant is, the PEANUTS / SNOOPY topic the peanuts have been my favourite comic strip for decades (of course, i own the whole 26-book fantagraphics collection, "the complete peanuts") i made 10+ puzzles about them indeed, for instance ● 17,897 strips● #400

Also in the entrance there is a nice sculpture.
