{some redirections - } Historical site - church ruins as last remnants of a medieval settlement. The settlement was probably destroyed during the Turkish occupation in the 16th century. The village was first mentioned as a wasteland (Puszta) in 1642, after the Turkish-Tatar campaign in the spring of 1596.
Memorial (tower-monolith) and theme park (lookout, info-boards, fireplace) were erected in 2014, public opinion still could not accept, that "how they could spoil this beautiful natural and sacred place with such a concrete monstrosity".

{Explanation}Not long ago I have met a local farmer next to this site and besides we had other job to be done, of course he could not stand to take some notes on this "off target" monument and has mocked it "Pokoli torony" (hellish tower). It was so cute I have laughed my brains out. (key background info for the reason of my laugh is that it was the hungarian translation title of the 1974'er american disaster movie, The Towering Inferno) ...funny - huh? : P It is legendary anyways how much this installation is hated by locals. Once I have heard two tractor drivers fabricating plans on how they will bait the tower with double-chain and hook to pull it down... ( : I do not like it either. Really off-landscape piles of concrete blocks and steel traverses. However must add instantly, also I feel regret to the artists! It was not their fault that no responsible person in the town management had not the faintest suspicion... It should have been over in the plan-phase if some public-consultation were held... Anyhow, ever since it is a beliked outdoor destination with deep history, most recently concrete fireplace included as well... Thanks for the answer. Can anyone offer an explanation how to find this, especially without clues? All I got was stuff about the movie, and even Yandex can't find the "tower".

I did find the tower, but as an "abstract staircase" and without any reference to the location. Then I stopped.

Can anyone offer an explanation how to find this, especially without clues? first of all, there is 1 important clue in the OP: we know it's in hungary thanks to "a pokoli torony" afterwards: {Spoiler}- i searched both in english and in magyar such a church ruin - i got www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-medieval-church-ruin-hungarian-plain-image62949978- confirmation: this church was the one, but there was no name, so i insisted in this direction - #templomrom @ instagram - link, the name is in the tags sorry guys but such websites belong to the new tools you'll never find anything on facebook because facebook is very stupid, basically you can search only users but instagram (a facebook company) can help even if instagram is very stupid too (for instance, you can use only 1 tag!) (to open an instagram account lasts like 2 minutes...) here, you don't need any account: if you search church ruins hungary @ flickr, you'll get it too!

Thanks Krenek.
But you can search Facebook for other things than users. There's a way on fb, even though few people know it. I find my old posts that way sometimes.
