It took me some time, but:
I guess Walter was hiking up and down the "hill" to find the view, same thing when you go in person. A very very amazing place

It's been almost four days since the last post here, so I think it's time for a clue or the answer... And if it's a clue, don't post a clue to the general area, but to where it is in that area. Because even when I have the clue I don't find it. I mean, I took almost 30 mn before I found your "red monolith" after I read the solution you posted.

I'm finding harder and harder to believe that this is your first time doing this, dagger66 . Not so junior, are you? dagger66 may be junior here but he is expert in finding almost impossible locations. He has great sleuthing powers. He is amongst the top 5 (#3) contributor (finder) in where-is-this.com

I knew it, it is a nightmare finding the mural. If you are in the correct hill, it is located in the middle, below a roof. Well, that was the clue, JL And now, just for the pleasure of showing it, the mural is made of stucco (plaster made of calize rock and cooked using large amounts of wood) the mastery of the artisans is really amazing. I have been there in person twice and can not imagine all the city decorated with this kind of art.

I was missing one word in my search, and was in the wrong places. I didn't know of this place before I was told the solution. I don't know why you keep talking about hills though. I hear they're making a 5th Indiana Jones movie. I think with Harrison Ford turning 80 they should just show Indy at his computer doing your Maya puzzles, and call the movie "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Blue Dots".

I think with Harrison Ford turning 80 they should just show Indy at his computer doing your Maya puzzles, and call the movie "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Blue Dots". Well, that is another clue: It is a hill, but it may be an artificial one, some researchers claim it to be one of the largest in it's kind
The kingdom of the Crystal Skull The kingdom of the Blue Dots using LIDAR but then, we will need the XYZ-ray machine to uncover those underground (and I have a puzzle prepared just for that) Part of my fun in this series of the monolith puzzles is to show the beauty and amazing places I have visited on my vacations. Bonus point for those still reading this. Initially I was going to use this other monolith in this puzzle, but there is no good view of the bluedots I have seen so far.

Time to close this one The mural* is made of stucco and is called The Frieze of the dream lords but it looks more like a nightmare with the dead guy incrusted in the wall It is located in the impressive hill/pyramid (still some debates on this) of Tonina, Chiapas. goo.gl/maps/2dPxUHCbCz9LZG797The frieze is located mid-hill under a temporary roof. More info on it, it's really fascinating: uncoveredhistory.com/mexico/tonina/tonina-frieze-of-the-dream-lords/* frieze • \FREEZ\ • noun. 1 : the part of an entablature between the architrave and the cornice 2 : a sculptured or richly ornamented band (as on a building or piece of furniture) 3 : a band, line, or series suggesting a frieze.
