Time for a clue? or to give the answer? You need to be a Star Wars fan to identify the hint in the title. Otherwise an archeology fan And as the majority of my recent puzzles about "monoliths" the region is in the Maya area.

I saw Star Wars when it first came out in 1977 and when we first saw that shot of the temples we instantly knew it was Maya. I think someone in the audience even shouted "Maya!". The outside shot of the temple entrance where the spaceships go in were shot there too I think. That means I instantly knew from your image and the title what this was about. It doesn't mean I could find the exact spot however. I've been to all the high points there, and couldn't find it. Also, too many blue dots for me. I have set myself a time limit for puzzles, and I've crossed it, sorry. Same for the dream/nightmare thing btw. Ready for the solution when you are.

Dear JL the view if famous because of the movie, buuuuuuuuut you can get the same view from a certain temple which shares part of the nomenclature with a place in the SW world, I don't know if it was coincidence or George Lucas was inspired by it.
And sorry, but that is the wrong city, but if you look south, you will be pointing in the right direction

Well, finally got there 43 years after seeing it for the first time.
Let me just say I had checked this area too, with no success, and was going back and forth between the two, as both are listed as filming locations for this movie.
Somebody needs to make a good map of this place btw. Something where the names of places are not blurry and appear clearly. Also, there are more blue dots on every little temple than on all my Big Dipper puzzle area, and I am the one who has to give a clue? My big fingers on my tiny phone screen had a lot of trouble with that only.
Thanks for the clue, at least I knew which of the two valid locations it was, but I must say, I'm completely Maya'd out right now. Please give the answers to the remaining ones, nobody else seems to be searching. I know I'm not.

This view was made famous in the film: Star Wars - A new hope it depicts the rebel base in Yavin 4- One of a number of moons orbiting the gas giant Yavin in the galaxy’s Outer Rim, Yavin 4 was a steamy world covered in jungle and forest. The real location is in the mayan city of Tikal, Guatemala In the view you can appreciate the jungle and Temple I facing Temple II as seen from the top of Temple IV Bluedot: goo.gl/maps/uUFsLcNG7CmbwhAE9If you have a chance to visit in person, a *Sunrise excursion* is available and highly encouraged (even if you have to wake up at 4:00am and a 2.3km hike all the way to the top of the pyramid before the Sun rises and the majority of tourist arrive on site. meetmeindepartures.com/tikal-sunrise-tour-tikal-tour/
