(Venera 14 under the Venusian cloud deck, accurate to color measurements by the Venera probes, Jupiter from overlay) NOTE THIS OVERLAY SET MAY NOT WORK WITH LOWER END COMPUTERS AND COULD CRASH THEM!!! After 10 years of concepts, setbacks, and hard work, the Grand Tour Overlay is finished.
Named after the initial concepts for the Voyager Program to the outer planets, the Grand Tour, the overlay set has: Overlays of 67 additional interplanetary bodies (Like Jupiter's moon Ganymede here in crisp 16K resolution)
Atmospheric effects for 4 of the additional planetary bodies (Like Venus here)
Models and images from 40 spacecraft, including correctly placed models on the moon with locator images as well as images taken by landers.(Like Chang'e 4 here)
IAU Approved Placenames for 45 objects and over 1,000 geolocated NASA Photojournal images!!! (Like seen here with Venus)
I hope this overlay set provides hours of entertainment or education for many. It was a journey to make and only in 2020 did I have the time and motivation to finish it, well as much as my computer could handle it until I get a better one to improve it even further. I may improve it next year considering there's 2 Mars landers and a moon lander to add.
KitsuneFox: syzygy - posts I have made here do not receive much attention. I may do a detailed writeup of the now lost Edgemont Park in PA, one of the first electrified trolley parks in the world, but still debating. I'm missing 1 key bit of information.
