I need your help.. My 1st post doe's not belong in fun and games forum. The question I asked is a real question and not a riddle or a joke. My avatar is of unknown origin, I found it on google earth and it came out of nowhere, it wasn't there and then it was. I need to know if anyone else can find it or has seen it before on google earth. This is not photoshopped I would not know how to do it. I need my question put in a forum where it will get plenty of exposure and maybe I will get an answer.......WHAT IS THIS, my avatar. Again I repeat, This must be moved to another forum. Should I re -post it???

You ask us to find your avatar which is "clue" northpole" and so it was moved to Fun & Games, because these people can find anything Google Earth, and which they did.
And yet you say "My 1st post doe's not belong in fun and games forum. The question I asked is a real question and not a riddle or a joke."
Your origingal thread says "Do you recognize my avatar. I found it on google earth pro, can you find it. Clue, it's around the north pole. If you can see it/find it please let me know. Thanks."

Don't panic Newbs, I reckon you've got a far better response and welcome from the good people in Fun & Games that you would have in Introductions.
Lets just leave it be for a while and see what crops up, you might be surprised.
Cheers and Welcome.

... My avatar is of unknown origin, I found it on google earth and it came out of nowhere, it wasn't there and then it was. ... it is just because your GE Time Slider tool is switched ON: try also at south pole! (; nothing supernatural - it is just because of some programing hocus-pocus with imagery data displayed by GE. we have some other members, who could probably better explain, but nothing interesting or serious... *** welcome on board, have a useful lookaround on GEC forums! g

Thanks for your response and the welcome. I did try the south pole but it is too white, nothing found. Hocus-pocus maybe, I did wonder if someone at google was messing with me. As for the slider, I never used it. Are you able to on your map, see it, find it. I will be adding pictures of several other things I have found in the future. I am looking forward to being part of the community and sharing discoveries. Many thanks.

...I will be adding pictures of several other things I have found in the future. ... most of the strange looking features on GE imagery have simple explanations - you can find a bunch of them around here, on Data discussions subforum, where also this posting should be on the best place. nevermind however: you got the best warm welcome this way - moved to our most active subforum; F&G with the most active community members on the GE Globe!(; also would ask you; do not post only screenshot images but kmz placemarks attached to your future posts! how? - read some around here: Forum Rules, How to and Help
