In 1985, a pilot wave power plant opened at Toftestallen (Norway). Waves flowing into a tapered channel, where the water then coursed through a basin before passing through a turbine generator as the current tugged it back. However, just few years after it opened, a winter storm with huge waves destroyed the power plant in short time. Now only the ruins are visible.

Do not like, it wrecked, but do appreciate the efforts, humankind invests to ride such force of nature. Thanks interesting spot! Have not heard about this kind of powerplants for a long time. Sorry, I must hear bad news at now!
