I'd like to know why Mars is clearer to view than the moon. It makes no sense to me that we have telescopes and cameras capable of viewing all the craters on the moon in good definition yet Google Moon is blurry. How come? I'm trying to show a child pictures of craters and he has lost interest quickly yet Mars has become a favourite because there are areas that are extremely well defined and clear.

Why has Google decided to let GE (Google Earth) PC version stucked by latest version would be a good question. (edit: untrue: GE PC keeps updating) Around this forum some member think it was a bad decision to invest so much money to develop GE Web Browser version instead of keeping GE PC alive and continue software/layer/imagery updates. Until they change their minds we have this still pretty cool software: GE/Moon equiped by many useful tools. -Have you tried Layers/Featured Satellite Imagery, Global Maps, etc. on left panel?) However GMars is the winner still you can show hundreds (thousands) of hi-res Moon craters and many more features for that little boy. And BTW, if one think GE Moon imagery is not the best for a child, should to think also that what quality Moon maps could be shown for children just 10-15 yeras ago, or think these children, seeing Moon surface best whilst clear night skies and for whom Mars is only a pale, orange dot above. ... Believe me: GMoon is still pretty good!

I prefer the desktop version, i can use my own pins, save kml and have as many layers i want to load automatically.I also have not upgraded because i like the version with the embedded web browser so when i click on restaurants it brings to the reviews on google.
