I have a very large data base of streams in northern Idaho. I am editing out streams with no name. However, so far I have only been able to do so one at a time. I've tried all the Mac keyboard shortcuts ( shift and combinations with other keys) but have been unable to select more then one at a time. At this rate I'll be 67 before I get it edited down to what I want. OK, I am 66 but will be 67 in September and do not want to edit day and night until then. Please, anybody know how to select consecutive lines of data to either cut or delete?
BTW, what is the difference between cut and delete other than one less step in the process?
Thanks for any help.
Mike

Hi Mike, welcome to the GEC.
I'm assuming here that you're referring to placemarks in your GE Places and My Places folders ?
That being the case, the easiest way would be to either create , or add a folder that you could drag and drop all the unwanted placemarks to.
You could even simply use the Temporary Places folder.
Once the files are in that folder, you could delete that folder.
Hope that helps
Cheers.

Mike Hi There Mike What is the Format of your Database File.. If it is in KML format you can use a free KML TO CSV converter Once you have the Database into CSV format you can then Edit out the unwanted lines and Import your Edited File into KML format Converting CSV files to KML
We could probably help more if we knew what format your Database file is in. Check out this program - It will do a lot of different Conversions GPSBabelVery simple to use LEt us know how you get on. Norm
