Attachment: StanzaStones.kmz (5.04 KB) Poet Simon Armitage has written a series of poems about water in its various states. The sequence is called "In memory of water", and each poem has been carved in reclaimed stone by Pip Hall and set in the Yorkshire moors. Each can be walked to separately or they can all be visited by following the 47 mile trail. This file gives the approximate locations of the stones and the text of the poems. I love the idea of the poetry seat "At either end of the stanza stone trail is a poetry seat for people to sit, write a poem, or just relax. At this one you are encouraged to collect a poem and post your own for somebody else to collect."
