Hello everybody! Just have got this 2016 NatGeo article link about archaeological structures in Western Uzbekistan similar to those in Arabia. (Related, short paper on academia.edu enumerating all kites' regions, one from researchgate.net, and another cool stuff with overview map(!) from pdfs.semanticscholar.org are for further reference.) Quoting one of the sources: "...more than five hundred kites discovered in Ustyurt plateau of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and Aragats Mountain in Armenia." Well... I have already spent hours browsing GE (and Bing) imagery without success, so decided to share this exercise with co-volunteers from around FG, who are also interested and might have better luck. Best I would need the triangle from first source, but any other finds from the Ustyurt Plateau region will be fine. *** No spoilers, no secrecy, but placemarks, coordinates, GMaps- (or Bing) links needed! - All "wins"! (: Thanks, and good luck! g *** EDIT: it is done - check below in this thread!

something like those?! 50.8328296 65.3260555 50.375713 65.461770 well, not exactly. your ones are the famous Ushtogay Squares; ancient earthen monuments with unknown function and/or meaning, but what I seek are animal traps made of (earth&)stone; deflector lines and killing pits which are said to be situated on the Ustyurt Plateau region, close to the Uzbek-Kazakh borders.

...This is in the Negev desert... hi BP, thanks for calling in and for great example as well! desert kites from central Africa and Arabia were introduced to GEC by KenGrok some 10 years ago, also I have already shared my additions here. this time I have firstly heard about similar structures from Eurasia, that's why I was so excited and could not wait to spot one from around the Ustyurt Plateau.
