Hey, I'm super new to this forum – so please excuse me when I posted this into the wrong category!
For a research project I have to export an extremely long tour (~12.000km at 750m alt.) preferable as image sequence. The problem I have is that this would result in a single folder with 30.000.000 single picture which ofc crashes at around 500.000 images at last. Besides that GE would overwrite the first images after 999999 because the image sequence 'only' has a 6 digit serial number. I know that there has been a Google Earth API (not to be confused with Google Earth Engine API) with which I could have scripted the export (for example make a new subdirectory every n images) but it is discontinued a couple of years ago.
So is there a convenient way to export very long image sequences with GE (while saving them in a subdirectory catalogue)? Or would it be to 'fly' along a KML route in Google Earth Engine and export it there as an image sequence? And if both not; is there any alternative where I can rendere these kind of fly over movies with Satellite images=
I managed to export it by splitting the KML tour into 100 chunks and exported them manually separately – but I'm looking for a generative approach since this is too time consuming and produce glitches within the transitions.
