On the night of July 29/30, 1942, a Stirling I (OJ-H) crashed somewhere on this street (Grulingsstrasse). My uncle was the rear gunner of this aircraft; none of the crew survived. His surviving sisters would like to know of any further details of the incident. Can anyone help? Thanks, in advance. (Note the rubble mountain 1.78 km. due north of this marker - this is made from debris from the Rodenhof area of the city.)
