I do not think some day will be spotted on GE imagery -whether if not on StreetView-, even no placemark I can attach for this one, just have need to share. Not a point of view, but I have not heard about it until now. I have tried to dig up some local name of it from India or Sri Lanka, still not sure they call it as the Leaf cat. more photos and video embed from source: twistedsifter.com/2018/02/worlds-smallest-cat/... But hey! What Sri Lanka? In southeastern Hungary -where I live-, by springtime, dozens just like this one are vandalizing in the neighborhoods...(:

Nice post!
I am a cat lover but have never seen anything like this in India. As a matter of fact I didn't even know about such small cats.

The European Wildcat (Felis silvetris) is also small and looks like a housecat. ... agree, however European Wildcat is similar to a big, fat, (gelded) tom-cat, and that Rusty-spotted guy is similar to a cute, little kitty. Small difference, that both are somewhat bigger than their domestic pairs. "what a wonderful world" of cats!

That cat is truly adorable! I've never heard of it, either. It looks like a permanent kitten! The video is delightful. By the way, I did a little research for an oldGEC post about wildcats, as opposed to the big cats. Apparently, the European wildcats are foul-tempered and almost impossible to tame, but African wildcats are much more malleable and fairly easy to tame. (I don't remember the source of that.) This website gives information about its location in India, more specific than other sites I looked at. animaldiversity.org/accounts/Prionailurus_rubiginosus/ (Still not able to make a link the normal way.) Expect the rusty spotted cat to show up in breeders' advertisements any day.
