One of the great pop stars of the 60s and 70s met with a tragic death in the early 90s. I went looking for the cottage in which he lived and I think I found it, somewhat changed but still recognizable. Feel free to do a reverse image search.

All of my comment in the spoiler space below, so others can still try to find it on their own: The pop star is Steve Marriott of Small Faces and Humble Pie fame. Wikipedia articlehhgygy’s cottage was my first candidate as well, but I shared his doubt. krenek’s cottage must be the right place. I found evidence for that on this web page, where it says: It’s late afternoon, I find Arkesden and pull up by the pub opposite Sexton’s, Steve house which is since rebuilt. With the sun resting peacefully on this rather posh little village, I can see the attraction for Steve: the desire to retreat to an idyll after all the mania and mayhem of playing in sweaty dives. That, plus the Axe & Compasses pub bang opposite. The British Listed Buildings website has a description of “Sextons”, and its coordinates: 51.9887 0.1583. The site didn’t manage krenek’s sneak (street) view though and gives us a couple of trees instead.

I had also found the house location several hours ago. Much before hhgygy post, but the view was hidden by the trees. I tried to peek in from the sides but I was looking for the semi circular window while Krenek was wiser and he looked at the side windows.
