I see a comment about image resizing; it's about the only thing that GG did better than ProBoards, but there are a couple of ways: First MethodWorking on the Edit Screen of your post 1. Just add your image by clicking on the add image icon and giving it the image URL: 2. Look toward the lower left of your screen (still in the edit screen) and you'll see a link called BB Code. Click on that. 3. Look for the BB Code for the Image Statement - it'll look something like this: (img alt="" style="max-width:100%;" src="http://www.naval-history.net/Photo01bbAnson45.JPG")Where it makes the statement max-width=100% , change the 100 figure to whatever you guesstimate the size you'll need. 50% would obviously half the image size. Don't alter anything other than the max-width figure or you'll confuse it! 4. Click lower right "Save Changes" and check on your result. Repeat steps 2 -4 if needed to adjust. Sounds long-winded, but it's much quicker and easier to do than it is to write! 2nd MethodWith Proboards, the other thing we can't do is to specify an image from your hard drive - it needs to be out there on the internet, so it's easiest to use a free hosting service. Most services will provide you with a method of resizing your image, so you can do it as you're uploading. With ImageShack: Simply set the resize option before you hit the Upload button.

... and I have another method without touching the code: - Just add the image to your post
- Click on the added image. The image is selected, as it is in Word.
- Go to the dot in the lower right corner and drag it up left until you have your required size.
Happy Easter, all!

Thanks Frank and Walter for the help.
I see one can also post the image as an attachement. That may come in handy if we want to post a big image for some reason or other.

That said, I tried, but I wasn't able to resize the image using the point and drag. I click on the image, nothing happens, I select it dragging across it, it's selected (in blue) but it won't resize if I try to drag it. Maybe it's the browser or something (Chrome).

I've just tried as well, and I don't get the pointer to drag with - just the text cursor. I'm using Chrome as well...

This worked well. In fact, how does it work exactly? I mean, does it depend n the size of the original picture? Very big, reduced by 60%, average, by 20%?

It's a plugin made by another forum user at proboards, with some variables we can set. I have set max width to 600px, so anything over that get's down sized by it's percentage.

And here I just sent Tek a thanks. So thanks to you, (and to Tek also for all of the modifications he has made) I like the new Insert Spoiler button which will especially be appreciated by the F&G community.

Added both earlier, I have a look for anything we can use in the mornings and give them a practice run.

all my pictures have always been saved @ google's PICASApicasa has, imho, 2 great features you won't get at the other photo-sharing websites (like flickr, photobucket, tinypic, etc.): 1) you can geolocate the images, see them on a map, save them in a KMZ file... < click to enlarge 2) you can choose the size SIZE: this is a typical PICASA link: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-AN6OQIgy474/VSDZT-ZKRUI/AAAAAAABOPY/1RXKSCrejHA/s650/30021.jpg where you can see "s650" = size 650 and i can chose the size with only one pictures saved! s650 = s235 = i then use both URL and IMG codes together: [url= HERE COMES THE LINK WITH THE ORIGINAL SIZE ] [img] HERE COME THE SIZE I CHOSE [/img] [/url] for instance (1439 = original size) (500 = the size i chose): [url=https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-AN6OQIgy474/VSDZT-ZKRUI/AAAAAAABOPY/1RXKSCrejHA/s1439/30021.jpg][img]https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-AN6OQIgy474/VSDZT-ZKRUI/AAAAAAABOPY/1RXKSCrejHA/s500/30021.jpg[/img][/url] which gives that: < click to enlarge voilà! i'll gladly answer any question...
