He was one of the most decorated pilots in the WW-II. This memorial is located in the town where his plane had crash landed.  Marker at crash site  The cemetery entrance where he is buried.  GSV of all the 3 places please. Clue, if needed, later. |

Well done Utapao, Bridge and hhgygy!  Clue for others; Officially his plane had crashed but no one knows whether it was caused by enemy action or lack of fuel or equipment failure or lack of experience on the type of plane he was flying. However as per latest researches many believe his plane may have been hit by friendly fire which resulted in his sad demise.  |

Well done all. The memorial is in memory of Guy Gibson of Dam Busters fame. He was the most highly decorated pilot of UK. Alas he died at the very young age of 26 when his plane crashed near steenbergen in The Netherlands. GSV of The MemorialGSV of Crash siteGSV of Cemetery |
