360Cities view in Google Earth. Please don't post view from browser but post slightly different view from GE. The image placemarker may not be visible in 360Cities layer (red square) of Photos but is visible in 360Cities layer (red circle) of Gallery. (see image below)

(see image below) I've found the place in GE and the 360 Cities on the website, but the 360 Cities in GE is another matter! I've clicked all of them in the area I think! Would a recreation of the image in GE do?

Would a recreation of the image in GE do? Yes please go ahead and post as long as it is from GE and not from browser. It is easy to find it in browser and a bit difficult in GE

You will have to zoom in to below 500 metres to separate these icons and one of it is the Space Shuttle. Well done alchemist251

I don't quite understand this puzzle. This view is somewhere from space at a certain angle but we don't know from which distance. Then the corresponding 360 Cities dot can be anywhere "near" but every dot is on the surface of the Earth, so to speak. So my question is: is it accurately placed just perpendicularly under the spot of the sky from which the image could have been made?

You have a very valid question hhgygy, even I was perplexed when serendipity brought me to this question. For your info the 360cities placemarker is not accurately placed but has been placed arbitrarily and the poster has given the reason why he has placed it there. In any case the image is easily searchable and you should be able to find general location of the 360cities placemarker. Thereafter you will have to find it in GE.

Yes there is. I don't know how to explain without giving the location away.

Well done krenek, hhgygy and ndrquI found the post of the author, but there is nowhere written where the spot is... Let me quote from the 360cities web site; At this location there are couple of Space related 360 Cities Panoramas and their icons are clearly visible in GE from 100 kilometres. The Space Shuttle's icon is merged with another icon there and one has to zoom in to below 500 metres to see it.

Let me quote from the 360cities web site; LOL, I actually didn't find this quote, I found the location in a very very very trick and harder way! stupid me Now that you quoted it I came back to the post and it's indeed there, but I didn't even read it at first because I thought it wasn't something he personally wrote but rather just something that was in every page of the website

Would a recreation of the image in GE do? Yes please go ahead and post as long as it is from GE and not from browser. It is easy to find it in browser and a bit difficult in GE I meant I found the location of where the shuttle is in the photo, not the location of the 360 image. But now I've found the general area of the 360 (before you gave the last clue) when I read the whole page. I don't see the logic of it but OK. Anyway, I see 14 different 360 images there and getting below 500 m takes forever (if I manage it at all), so I'll just pretend I don't understand what you aks for and post this: I hope you don't mind. And yes, the place of my "3 in 1" puzzle is in the frame of my image of the Shuttle. Isn't that a great coincidence?

Well done all. The Endeavour can be seen in Google Earth via this kmz file. It's 360cities pageIt's icon which is placed at <<< South Pole>>>is merged with the icon of "Mars Gigapixel Panorama - Curiosity rover" and gets separated only when the scale bar shows below 500 metres (2950 m elevation).
