Something is wrong with this picture... and when I say "this picture", it's not the picture itself, it's the real place! The picture only shows what's wrong. Maybe they've made it right since the SV picture was taken. I hope so. Anyway, if I had not told you something is wrong, this picture could have been very misleading as to what country it was taken in. It would have been interesting not to tell you before, see who finds it with no warnings, but it would have been unfair too. So now your job is to find this. And when you find the place in the image, you too will wonder why, oh wh y did they let this thing happen!

Here: 10 hours, more than 55 hits, and no answer (even Walter??? ). So my hint for now will be: it's easier than you think. I'm not being facetious, I mean it. Something in the image can help (well, a little) and something in the presentation in the OP too. I have prepared a real clue, and will post it tomorrow evening, my local time. Good luck.

In Italy we have this say: "Sono in alto mare", which translates to "I am in high sea", which means "I have a long way to go". And that's where I am right now, high, very high and deep sea and I have already been in something like a hundred mushroom water towers in the UK.

Two reasons: The road sign faces the left side of the road, so its a left-side driving country (if that isn't the wrong thing John is talking about) Johnluke's puzzles are mostly in UK lol

But then you may be quite right: he is talking about something being wrong on the picture which means that if it is a wrongly placed settlement sign it can NOT be in the UK.

Johnluke's puzzles are mostly in UK lol I don't know how you got that idea, ndrqu, but just out of curiosity, I looked at the 15 puzzles I have posted here so far (not including this one), and it turns out there are 2 that are in the UK, out of the 15. I hope you don't work in Statistics.

All right let's say they mounted the sign backwards. Doesn't look to me like an huge mistake, and mostly doesn't look to me like something that would go on the news... I mean, how would I google that? Waiting for the real hint too And, johnluke , luckily I don't study statistics, I study geology. I never really trusted statistics, a man with the head in an oven and the feets in a fridge is statistically ok, but not realistically

I had prepared an image clue, but I will post it later. First I want to say that I may have made a mistake here, by trying to help you, I may in fact have misled you, and if I have, I'm sorry. Text clue: The possibly misleading part being, by saying there is something wrong here, maybe you all thought that was how you were supposed to find this place. It's not. Don't google for "wrong" things, that won't work. It won't be there (I would be surprised). Also, the water tower is irrelevant. It just happened to be there. Let's call it a red herring. I would have much preferred there to be a coach, for instance. And that could be a clue. The "something wrong" just allows me to post this image without me having to do some blurring in PhotoShop. See above in the previous posts in this thread. I did not look for this place because of the something wrong. I didn't know it was there, and when I saw it, I thought: "Nice! I'll use that!". It's kind of funny too. As I said in the OP, I don't know how that happened. You just have to wonder why. So you have to find another reason I chose this otherwise not so interesting place. Mmmmmhhh. What could it be? And would that fit with what you see in the image? Re-reading the OP might help. Or not. Image clue to come in a couple of days.

OK, I found it but swear to my life (I don't know whether Walter is lying or just making fun of us) that I simply don't know why I came here. Now I'm going to re-read your verbal flow until the penny drops. P.S. I just can't figure out what your texts are about and how they relate to this location. So I really need a clue to your clue. (For the others who still struggle with it: I did not hide anything in my post here I really don't understand how I found this and what it has to do with the OP's long descriptions)
